R. Mark Shelton

R. Mark Shelton is a former: Division I college football scholar-athlete, with bowl and all-star game appearances; Magna Cum Laude, Honor Court and published Law Review Case Notes Editor law school graduate; and Florida Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer who, for more than three decades now, has devoted a significant portion of his time to assist lawyers and claims and other professionals resolve civil disputes with in-person and video mediation conference and arbitration proceedings.

While certified as a Florida Circuit, Appellate and Family Mediator, authorized as a Federal Middle District of Florida Mediator and approved as a Florida Arbitrator, Mr. Shelton has also maintained the highest available (AV) preeminent legal ability and ethical standards rating for more than a quarter of a century and has been listed as a highly regarded expert in the Alternate Dispute Resolution section of the Law and Leading Attorneys Florida Consumer Guidebook. Having already served as a Mediator or neutral Arbitrator in several thousands of civil disputes it is always Mark's pleasure to work with all parties to reach efficient and cost-effective resolutions of their disputes.

Always willing to give back to and serve his profession and community Mr. Shelton has: spoken at state and local CLE and CME seminars concerning the ethics of Mediation as a profession; served as the President of local non-profit and charitable youth sports organizations; served as the President of a local chapter of Habitat for Humanity; and serves as a founding board member and counsel for a local summer camp designed and built for children on the Autism spectrum. 

The parents of a former Division I college soccer scholar-athlete, who is now a  Commercial Real Estate Broker in Denver, CO, Mark and his "lovely bride" Kathleen Hitchcock Shelton have right-sized  to a maintenance-free villa at a golf and country club in Hernando County, FL and are slowly inching their way toward retirement and more travel.
