After Mark Shelton earned his Board Certification as a Florida Civil Trial Lawyer in 1985 he noted that most of his clients still preferred to resolve their claims without a full dress, arm's length, adversarial trial.  Since he became a Florida Certified Circuit Mediator and Arbitrator in 1989, and although he still prosecutes and defends civil lawsuits, a significant portion of Mark's practice has been devoted to the resolution of claims through Mediation, Arbitration and Appraisal.

Mediation is a conflict resolution process in which a neutral third party, the mediator, helps the parties reach a settlement.  Click here to see more information about scheduling a Mediation.

Arbitration is a conflict resolution process in which a neutral third party, the arbitrator, renders a decision on the claim.  Click here to see more information about scheduling an Arbitration.

Appraisal is a conflict resolution process in which a neutral third party, the umpire, along with the parties' appraisers, reach a valuation of the loss.  Click here to see more information about scheduling an Appraisal.
