The following information will be useful for scheduling an Appraisal with Mark Shelton.

Rate:  The fee of each appraiser will be paid by the party selecting that appraiser .  Mr. Shelton's fee as the umpire is $300.00 per hour and will be divided equally among the parties, unless otherwise agreed.

Hours Reserved:  Unless otherwise coordinated with our office, appraisals are scheduled for an a.m. or p.m. period of 3 hours or for an a.m. and p.m. period of 7 hours. 

Travel:  Travel for any appraisal will be billed at the rate of $100.00 per hour.

Appraisal Award:  The appraisal award will be in writing and signed by at least one appraiser and the neutral umpire.  The appraisal award will be rendered promptly and, unless otherwise agreed, no later than thirty (30) days following the appraisal hearing.

Billing:  Mr. Shelton's invoices will be delivered to the attorneys (or to representatives or parties if not represented by counsel) and the attorneys and representatives will be responsible for the parties' share of his fee.

CancellationIf an a.m. or p.m. appraisal is cancelled less than seven (7) days before the date of the scheduled conference, a 2-hour fee will be charged.  If a appraisal scheduled for both the a.m. and p.m. is cancelled less than seven (7) days before the scheduled conference, a 5-hour fee will be charged.

Location:  Unless otherwise coordinated with our office, inspection of the property is followed by deliberation in our office in Lutz or at any location agreed upon by all parties.  Mr. Shelton's on-line scheduling calendars are color coded to show where an inspection and appraisal may be scheduled on any available day. 

Scheduling Procedure

  • View the on-line calendars for available dates and times.  The available days are divided into a.m. and p.m. periods.

  • Coordinate with all parties involved.

  • Once all parties have agreed to a location, date and time, either:  (1) click on the desired "a.m." or "p.m." on one of the on-line calendars to reveal the Scheduling Form, input all requested information and click to submit it to us; or (2) print out the Scheduling Form, fill in the requested information and FAX it to us at (813) 949-6216 or (3) call Katie at (813) 949-3681 x12 and provide all requested information about the claim, parties and location.

Please Note:  An appraisal is not officially scheduled on Mark Shelton’s calendar until we have contacted you to confirm.  We will make every effort to do so within a few business hours of receipt of your submission or telephone call.
